Every detail starts with a proper pre-wash. Snow foam and shampoo lift most of the dirt before a mitt ever touches the paint.
Wheels are the dirtiest part of the car, so they always come first. Dedicated cleaners shift baked-on brake dust that shampoo simply leaves behind.
Passengers judge the cabin before they ever look at the paint. Plastic and fabric cleaners, leather care and scents handle the inside top to bottom.

Detailing is cleaning a car properly, surface by surface, rather than giving it a quick wash. The aim is to remove dirt without adding scratches, then protect what you have just cleaned. It covers paint, glass, wheels, trim, plastics, leather and fabric. Done regularly, it keeps a car looking newer for longer and holds its value better.
A full detail runs in a set order: wheels and arches, pre-wash, contact wash, dry, decontaminate, protect, then the interior. Each stage has its own chemical — a wheel cleaner will not do the job of a shampoo, and an all-purpose cleaner is wrong on leather. You do not need every stage every time; most people wash fortnightly and do the deeper stages two or three times a year.
Booked in as a service the price swings wildly, so we will not quote figures we cannot stand behind. Doing it yourself changes the maths: one set of products covers many washes, and concentrates stretch much further than ready-to-use bottles. A sensible starter set is a snow foam, a shampoo, a wheel cleaner, an interior cleaner and something to protect the paint.
A V-number on the label means it is the newest version of that recipe. If a bottle you have used for years behaves differently, the dilution may have moved with it — read the label rather than going from memory.

A quick detailer is a light spray you mist onto clean paint and buff off with a microfibre. It clears dust, fingerprints and light smears between washes, and adds a little gloss and slickness. It is not a substitute for a wash — used on a genuinely dirty car it drags grit across the paint.
A detailer works through the car in stages rather than washing it all at once: wheels, pre-wash, contact wash, decontamination, protection, then the interior. Most of the skill is in the order and the technique, not in secret products. What a detailer uses day to day is in this category.
If you keep your cars for a few years, yes. Washing with the right chemicals stops swirl marks and stains building up, and protected paint is easier to clean next time. Be realistic about time, though — a full detail is a half-day job, a maintenance wash closer to an hour.
Concentrates cost less per wash and stretch much further. Ready-to-use is quicker and harder to get wrong, so it is a fair place to start. Our BASIC line is the honest entry level; the LADY line is the same idea with softer scents.
