Every lasting ceramic job starts with the base layer, and Pro Base 9H is ours. Its formula rests on a flexible foundation that continuously adapts the coating to the bodywork as it vibrates and changes temperature — the reason the system can promise up to 5 years when finished with Pro Top (sold separately). Expect up to 1 µm of coating, pH 2–11 resistance and hydrophobicity that keeps surfaces close to self-cleaning.
How to use
- Apply indoors at a minimum of 20°C. Paint should be scratch-free — polish first if degraded (e.g. SWAG One Step Polish). Surface must be dry, cool and grease-free.
- Shake the bottle. Apply a few drops to a suede-wrapped foam applicator and work an area up to 50 × 50 cm in a cross motion — vertical, then horizontal.
- Wait at least 4 minutes, then gently buff with a microfibre cloth to even out the layer. Continue panel by panel until the body is covered.
- Wait at least 3 hours (or IR lamp at 50–60°C for 10 minutes to shorten curing), then apply the next layer. Recommended: 2–3 layers. For the full system, follow with Pro Top after at least 3 hours.
- Initial cure: 12 hours, avoiding all water contact. Full cure: at least 7 days — wash with water only, no chemicals, during this time.
Afterwards clean with pH-neutral or mildly acidic/alkaline products and maintain with SWAG Ceramic Reloader.
